  • http://www.ceres.org.au/ - CERES or Centre for Education and Research in Environmental Strategies is a fantasitc not-for-profit centre focussed on all aspects of sustainable living. They run courses on a huge range of things from permaculture to cooking to bike mending. There's a beautiful sense of commuity there. There is also a regular farmers market and a great little cafe. 
  • http://www.ceresfairfood.org.au/ - CERES Fair Food is an online organic grocer and carbon neutral food delivery service in Melbourne that is helping to create healthier, happier, and more secure local food systems.
  • http://www.cultivatingcommunity.org.au/ - They say their mission is to work with diverse communities to create fair, secure and resilient food systems. Their core purpose is to provide access to healthy, culturally appropriate food for people and families living on low incomes in the context of a whole of community approach to food security.
  • http://www.foodknowhow.org.au/ -Food Know How is a food waste reduction program developed by Cultivating Community, City of Yarra. Food Know How aims to make people more conscious of the value in what they waste, how they can avoid waste and how it can be recycled back into the food-cycle

  • The Good Table- A local restaurant in Castlemaine offering a daily menu that celebrates quality ingredients; seasonally sourced, locally grown, with emphasis on free range, organic and sustainable produce.
  • The Farm Cafe  - sourced from local producers who share their paddock-to-plate ethic and passion for quality. 
  • Mr Carsisi -  Amazing, fresh and local Middle Eastern Food in Kyneton
  • Bear Cafe - Tiny cafe in Fitzroy that sells wholesome breakfasts all day for really cheap. You can also have any kind of milk in your coffee for no extra charge. We're talking, rice, soy, coconut, almond..
  • Lentil as Anything - A not for profit organistation that serves food on a pay as you fell basis. Breakfast is a la carte and lunch and dinner is served buffet style. All of it is amazing!
  • Little Black Pig-  Little cafe in Heidelberg whose menu changes almost daily depending on what's in season. They're not afraid to tell you that you can't have tomatoes on your sandwich because they're not in season. Great coffee too
